About app’s transition from a paid lifetime purchase to a subscription model. I want to assure you that this decision wasn’t taken lightly, and it comes from a place of wanting to ensure the app’s long-term sustainability and growth.
The model of lifetime payment was made many years before and now it is nearly impossible to keep this model, as our vision and business processes grow, the need for a subscription model to keep business alignment and ensure our vision is met is necessary.
As you might know, maintaining and updating an app with new features, bug fixes, and security patches requires ongoing investment. Unfortunately, the lifetime license model, while initially attractive, wasn’t generating enough revenue to support the app’s continued development and improvement. This ultimately meant compromising on quality and innovation, something I believe none of us want.
